Very close to my heart!

Its been really long since I posted anything significant on my blog. It’s the same old excuse.. I was busy, had no time, writer’s block and what not.. Today the internet at the office is down. So I thought it would be a good opportunity to put down some thoughts that have been haunting me at the back of my mind..

I got a beautiful forward the other day. It said – “ its hard to let go someone who has touched your life, but its harder to let go of someone who was never yours yet changed your life the most”

In the last 4 months, I have interacted with lots of new people— special ones I never want to let go. All of them have taught me something. Some have been a great source of inspiration, and I look up to some others in awe, some helped me realize the kind of person I never want to be. It has been a great learning experience.

Now I realize that I have been extremely lucky to have been with people who have helped me become the person I am today.

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they’re worth taking
Lovin’ might be a mistake
But it’s worth making
Don’t let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

  1. Awesome poem.
Do you know you gladden the hearts of people who read your stuff.
Just wanted to let you know.
